Turtle’s Tap gets remodeled

MORRIS – The Grundy County Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s recent Business Spotlight highlights Turtle’s Tap, 1400 N. Division St., Morris.

Turtle’s Tap has been in the community for the past 17 years and in business for 30 years, owner Kevin Krople said in a news release from the Grundy County Chamber.

The Carlson Room is a private banquet room, perfect for any occasion, he said in the release. It can accommodate 40 to 45 people, and the decor is a shabby chic motif.

Inside is a large children’s playhouse and an area geared toward tweens and teens.

Lady Lux is an upscale video gaming parlor for the average player.

“We feel that with these additions, we have become one of the premier entertainment destinations in the area,” Krople said in the release.

The Bent River Bar features craft beers from the Bent River Brewery in Moline and wines from Illinois Valley Wines.

A new manager, Rita Harris, also is a part of the new changes, according to the release.

“Turtles has always been a family-friendly atmosphere. We have something for all ages and backgrounds. We are now better suited to accommodate and serve the people that live, shop and dine in our fantastic community,” Krople said.
