NEPONSET — Tammy L. (Bennett) Hartman, 51, of Neponset passed away at 4:05 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2015, in the emergency room at OSF Saint Luke Medical Center in Kewanee.
She was born June 15, 1964, in Kewanee, the daughter of Robert and Connie (Stabler) Bennett.
Tammy graduated from Neponset High School in 1982 and from Moline Public School of Nursing in 1985. She was currently employed as an ICU nurse at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Bloomington-Normal and had also worked at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford.
She was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan who enjoyed her dogs, chickens, fishing, kayaking and being outdoors. She especially enjoyed being a part of her daughter's life and supporting her in her activities.
Survivors include her parents of Neponset; her daughter, Katelyn “Katie” Hartman of Neponset, currently a senior at Northern Illinois University; and three brothers, Tim (JoAnne) Bennett of Kewanee, and children, Kayla and Jake, Terry Bennett (Kelli Humphrey) of Cambridge and children, T.J., Torri, Kalli and Nate, and Robert “Tony” (Julie) Bennett of Normal, and children, Ali, Emma and Casey.
Cremation has been accorded and a memorial visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, at the Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Private graveside services will be held at West Neponset Cemetery at a later date, with the Rev. Dr. William R. Toliver officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to an education fund for her daughter in care of Community State Bank.
