OREGON – Jesse A. Gigous, 78, lifelong Oregon resident, died Sunday, July 12, 2015, at Serenity Hospice & Home in Oregon.
He was born June 20, 1937, in Oregon, the son of Clyde and Alma (Helman) Gigous. Jesse married Caroline (Reimer) Todd on Feb. 23, 1966, in Oregon. Jesse was a 1955 graduate of Oregon High School. He was employed at ED Etnyre & Co. for 33 years before his retirement in 2015. He loved fishing, his grandkids, and his grandpuppies.
He is survived by his wife, Caroline of Oregon; daughters, Susan (Jon) Marcum of Lindenwood, Angie (Paul) Miller of Dalzell, Sheila (Michael) Heath of North Freedom, Wisconsin, Jeanette (Dan) Edgcomb of Utica, and Dawn (Charles) Hudson of Oregon; stepsons, Kevin Todd, Ronald Todd, Gregory (Laurie) Todd, and Jeffery (Dawn) Todd, all of Oregon; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a brother, Roy Gigous of Tomah, Wisconsin; and sisters, Judith Fore and Sandra Krueger, both of Oregon.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jesse Jr.; five brothers, Martin, Claude, Donald, David, and Robert; and two sisters, Barb and Donna.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Friday and the funeral at noon Friday at Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home in Oregon, with the Rev. Rich Tomlinson, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Oregon, officiating. Burial will be at Ebenezer Cemetery in rural Oregon.
