Hayley Schueneman, 25, a resident of Madison, Wisconsin, was at her parents' garage sale in Batavia when she answered 11 questions for the Kane County Chronicle's Brenda Schory.
Where did you grow up? Batavia, since I was 10. Before that, I lived in Elgin. I graduated [with] the class of 2008 from Batavia High School.
Pets? A miniature dachshund named Pepper and a mutt named Phoebe we got from Animal House Shelter in Huntley.

First job? Mother's helper to a neighbor and hostess at the Country House in Geneva.
As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A fashion designer. I won't rule it out, but now I'm working as a college admissions counselor.

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I met President Obama when he spoke at Knox College in 2013, and I was able to shake his hand.
