BOLINGBROOK – The Village of Bolingbrook is hosting a variety of events in honor of its 50th anniversary. The celebration begins this weekend and continues to Oct. 5
The restored police station reopens with a dedication as Bolingbrook Historic Museum at 10 a.m., June 27. The museum is at 444 E. Briarcliff Road.
Immediately after the museum dedication, original 1960s residents of Bolingbrook are invited to a Pioneer Brunch.
June 28 is a full day of family fun. At 9:30 am, the International Cornfield Sailing Championship and Regatta sets sail at the Town Center, 375 W. Briarcliff Road. The village picnic is noon to 6 p.m. The birthday cake will be cut at 3 p.m.
The anniversary season will continue with a total of 13 Concerts on the Hill, 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Performing Arts Center, playing hits from each of Bolingbrook’s five decades.
