Two Lincoln-Way high schools host spring art shows

NEW LENOX – Lincoln-Way Central and Lincoln-Way West high schools hosted their annual spring art shows this month, giving area residents, students, faculty and staff a chance to view a variety of student artwork.

On display were more than 250 pieces from student art classes, including drawings, paintings, photography, jewelry, graphic design, ceramics, animation and art fundamentals.

Lincoln-Way Central Spring 2015 Art Show winners included the following students: Bella Vickers, Jade Rector, Hannah Ehlers, Rhealin Wlos, Jeff Schoenhofen, Megan De Paula, Emily Marfileno, Stephanie Zimba, Emily Shaffer, Rebecca Kahney, Alexis Berezin, Jessica Posch, Madeline Willson, Andrew Bergstrand, Danielle Knowlton, Morgan Maca, Kori Koopman, Amber Rouleau and Matt Cleary.

Lincoln-Way West Spring 2015 Art Show winners include: Savanna Rusch, Mia Bruno, Carly Soraghan, Cesar Zavala, Sydney St. Leger, Rachel Zielinski, Haley Jablonski, Mikayla Keogh, Alex Sutor, Kailey Kahl, Savanna Miska, Sarah Dyke, Annaliese Mrazek, Kailey Kurth, Morgan Hasler, Dana Moss, Joseph Greenback, Jessi Karlic, Holly Lenczewski, Jordan Mysliwiec, Anthony Bendy, Kirsten Boner, Natalie Greenwood and Justin Trout.

Best of Show Awards were presented to Bella Vickers for her pen and ink piece from Lincoln-Way Central and Audrey Pearson for her work in color pencil from Lincoln-Way West.

Purchase Awards were presented to Rhealin Wlos for her acrylic paint piece from Lincoln-Way Central and Jessi Karlic for her water color piece from Lincoln-Way West.

Rhealin and Jessi’s artwork will be framed and placed on permanent display in the lobby of the Fine Arts Center at their respective schools.
