Plants and expertise will be in abundance at the Downers Grove Organic Gardeners' plant sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 9.

The sale will feature about 3,000 professionally sourced organic herb, vegetable, tomato and native perennial plants, including many hard-to-find heirloom varieties. It's set in Hummer Park Pavilion, 4833 Fairview Ave., Downers Grove.

"Start your garden right with selections from our extensive stock," invite club members. "Come promptly at 9 for best selection, as many items sell out quickly."
