PLAINFIELD – Plainfield South High School counselor Dawn Erickson was recently named the Illinois School Counselor Association’s 2015 High School Counselor of the Year.

Erickson started her educational career in 2002, teaching business education for three years at a small, private high school in Rockford. She returned to Lewis University in Romeoville to get a master’s degree in counseling. Erickson came to District 202 and PSHS in 2009.
