Oregon Park District receives agency award

The Oregon Park District was awarded the Distinguished Agency Accreditation by the Illinois Association of Park Districts and the Illinois Parks and Recreation Association, Jan. 23 at the IAPD/IPRA All Conference Awards luncheon in Chicago.

This accreditation is given to agencies that provide exceptional Park and Recreation services to their community.

Throughout the accreditation process OPD increased its overall operational efficiency and effectiveness, updated and clarified district policies and procedures, and solidified professional standards both internally and externally.

The accreditation is valid for five years.
