Police Reports: Hinsdale and Burr Ridge for Feb. 13

HINSDALE

Theft

• Glenn B. McKernan, 40, of the 400 block of Bradford Place, Bolingbrook, and Dawn M. Pokosa, 32, of the 400 block of Bradford Place, Bolingbrook, were charged at 11:18 a.m. Feb. 9 with possession of an essential vehicle part at the Hinsdale Hospital Parking Garage, 120 N. Oak St. A Burr Ridge police detective witnessed either McKernan or Pokosa crawl under a vehicle and remove the catalytic converter from the vehicle. Both were then found in possession of a bag containing saw blades, a battery charger and a reciprocating saw. Pokosa was additionally charged with driving on a revoked license.

• A steel grate valued at $500 was reported stolen between 3 p.m. Feb. 6 and 1 p.m. Feb. 7 from a parking lot in the zero to 100 block of Spinning Wheel Road. The theft was reported Feb. 7.

Domestic battery

Brian J. McDade, 53, of the 200 block of South Monroe Street, Hinsdale, was charged at 6:48 p.m. Feb. 7 with domestic battery in the 200 block of South Monroe Street.

Drug possession

Marie Frances Kucera, 24, of the first block of Bay Rum Court, Burr Ridge, and Todd J. Tomisek, 37, of the 100 block of North Grant Street, Westmont, were charged with possession of a controlled substance after they were arrested at 12:17 a.m. Feb. 7 at the Hinsdale Train Depot, 21 E. Hinsdale Ave. Police observed a people sleeping in the train depot at an hour when the doors are normally locked. Police found Kucera and Tomisek in possession of a white powder substance that field tested positive for a controlled substance.
