CRYSTAL LAKE – Kids can try out dance and poms with a holiday twist this winter.
The Crystal Lake Park District has two day camps for children ages 5 to 12, one for dance and one for poms.
At Holiday Dance Camp, kids will experience a bit of ballet, jazz and hip-hop over the course of the program, which will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Grand Oaks Recreation Center, 1401 W. Route 176, Crystal Lake.
Holiday Poms Camp will send kids home with a mini routine they can practice after learning a bunch of pom motions, leaps, turns and jumps. The camp is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, also at the Grand Oaks Recreation Center.
Each of the one-day camps costs $31 for park district residents and $35 for nonresidents.
