GENEVA – Eagle Brook Country Club in Geneva has been sold for more than $9.6 million, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
CNL Lifestyle Properties Inc., a Florida-based real estate investment trust company, sold 46 golf-related properties in about 10 states in June for $320 million. It plans to sell two remaining golf courses, as well, according to the SEC filing.
Eagle Brook was sold on Sept. 30, township property records show.
Two other Illinois golf courses included in the sale were the Tamarack Golf Club in Naperville and the Ruffled Feathers Golf Club in Lemont.
A spokeswoman for CNL Lifestyle Properties said no one was immediately available to comment.
CF Eagle Brook Arcis LLC bought the entire portfolio of golf assets, according to SEC filings.
According to township property records, the tax bill is sent to Fortress Investment Group in New York.
Eagle Brook opened in 1992, according to its website.
