BOLINGBROOK – The supervisor of a girls soccer program was arrested Saturday after allegedly sending inappropriate text messages to players.
Jason Lentz, 39, was arrested shortly after police used a search warrant around 6:30 a.m. to enter his residence in the 1400 block of Firethorn Street, according to Lt. Mike Rompa.
Rompa said Lentz had been under investigation since Sept. 22, when police were notified he’d been texting underage females.
“Lentz was found to be the current vice president of the Bolingbrook Soccer Club. The females contacted were players and participants within the organization,” Rompa said.
The Will County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and Naperville Police High Technology Crimes Unit assisted Bolingbrook police in the investigation
Lentz, was interviewed at the police station before being booked into the Will County jail on charges of indecent solicitation of a minor, soliciting to meet a juvenile and grooming a minor for sexual purposes.
A Linkedin profile which appears to belong to Lentz indicates he is a board member of the traveling soccer programs who has focused “on team financial accounts, tryouts and registration, trainer management, coach development, and communications.”
Lentz, who also has been a manager at Cadence Health for four years, appeared to be wearing a soccer shirt when he was booked into the jail.
