BATAVIA – A 38-year-old man charged with multiple counts of criminal sexual abuse is due in court Wednesday for a status hearing.

Sean Loftis, of the 1300 block of McClurg Drive, Batavia, was charged this month with criminal sexual assault, a Class 1 felony, and three counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, a Class 2 felony, according to Kane County court documents.

The documents indicate the alleged crimes happened Oct. 8 to Oct. 9 and involved someone Loftis knows who is younger than 18.

His bail was set at $100,000, and records show he was released on $10,000 bond.

As conditions of his bond, Loftis cannot have direct or indirect contact or communication with the victim, nor can he be within 150 feet of the victim’s residence, documents show.
