LA GRANGE – After 15 years of successfully running a floral shop in Evanston, an area resident is bringing her flowers and bouquets to downtown La Grange.

Bloom 3, a destination floral boutique, will open at the beginning of November, according to floral designer and shop owner Kim Lesher of La Grange Park.

Lesher is one of the shops three designers on hand at Bloom 3, located at 104 W. Burlington Ave. She said the shop will offer customers a wide range of options for floral arrangements, and will specialize in large events. Each of the shop’s designers bring a little something different to the mix, she added.

“We’re a little bit more than a flower shop,” Lesher said.

Opening the new store came as part of an effort to be closer to home and spend more time with her kids, Lesher said, and she is excited to become a part of La Grange’s business community and a destination for downtown shoppers.

“I love this town,” Lesher said. “There’s so much potential [here] and it’s a lot of fun.”

With two locations, Bloom 3’s designers will split their time between both locations, helping to build the clientele at each shop, according to Lesher, who said up to this point, Bloom 3’s clientele has grown solely by word of mouth.

As the last steps to open are being completed, Lesher said there are always challenges with getting a business going, but one of her main goals will be to make the flowers and arrangements affordable for customers.

“You don’t have to spend a fortune to have a beautiful arrangement,” Lesher said. “I want to be sure it appeals to everyone.”
