McHENRY – A McHenry woman was arrested Wednesday after she offered to perform a sex act on an undercover McHenry police officer in exchange for money, police said.

Jing Huang, 41, of 719 Ridgeview Drive in McHenry, was charged with one count of prostitution, a Class A misdemeanor, according to a news release from the McHenry Police Department.

Huang was released after posting the required $1,000 bond. She is expected in court Oct. 15.

The arrest was made during an undercover operation at Spiritual Spa, at the same address as Huang’s residence, where Huang is an employee. The operation was part of an ongoing investigation into allegations of illegal prostitution at the place of business.

Neither the business owner nor listed manager – Jue Wang of Chicago and Yanping Xiu of Chicago, respectively – were on site when the arrest was made. Both were served notice for violating the McHenry municipal code in reference to massage establishments and massage therapists.

Spiritual Spa has been closed by police pending a hearing with the city of McHenry.

The investigation into the business is still open and anyone with information regarding illegal operations there is asked to call the McHenry Police Investigation Division at 815-363-2599 or the tip line at 815-363-2124.
