McHENRY – Low-price grocer Aldi will open its new McHenry store Sept. 24 at 2226 N. Richmond Road.
This store will replace the location at 1742 N. Richmond Road, which will officially close at 9 p.m. Sept. 23.
“We are pleased to showcase the new look of Aldi with this updated store in McHenry and continue to help customers stretch their dollars,” said Scott Patton, Batavia division vice president for Aldi. “As important as price is, there’s only one way to attract and keep shoppers: You have to have quality products. When people try our Aldi exclusive brands, they are excited by the savings and impressed by the quality.”
The new store features higher ceilings and environmentally friendly building materials, such as recycled materials and energy-saving refrigeration and light bulbs. The new store is larger than the current location, allowing additional space for produce and other fresh products.
Aldi will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new store at 8:45 a.m. Sept. 24. The public is invited to attend and sample Aldi-exclusive brands and tour the new store. Guests also can enter an on-site sweepstakes for a chance to win Aldi gift certificates.
