Elmhurst girls soccer team wins championship

ELMHURST – An American Youth Soccer Organization team from Elmhurst took first place in its division.

The girls U12 team, coached by Dennis Moore and Tim Curry, won the AYSO Extra Area 6D championship June 8 in Lake Forest.

Players included Maya Curry, Sarah Kerrigan, Caroline Smith, Haley Blattner, Maggie Moore, Grace Maietta, Sara Krissinger, Grace Schneider, Annie Guinan, Megan Hanebuth, Sophia Labuda and Bella Leslie.
