WOODSTOCK – A Woodstock registered sex offender was arrested Tuesday after providing police with false information regarding his address.
Adrian K. Clark, 27, was taken into custody for unlawful failure to register as a child sex offender, according to a press release from the Woodstock Police Department.
Clark previously registered with the Woodstock Police Department as a child sex offender and cited that he lives in the Prairie View Apartment Complex in Woodstock.
Detectives met with the occupant of the address that Clark provided and learned that he did not, and never has, lived at that apartment.
Clark was contacted and met with detectives on Tuesday, and after conferring with the McHenry County States Attorney's Office, he was charged with one count of failure to register as a child sex offender, which is a class 2 felony.
Clark was transported to the McHenry County Jail where he remained as of Wednesday morning.
Clark's actual address is in the 400 block of Leah Ln., in Woodstock, the press release said.
