NORTH RIVERSIDE – Fast food chain Chick-fil-A is planning to make a splash at the grand opening of it’s new North Riverside location on Thursday.
The new Chick-fil-A will open it’s doors at 6 a.m. and the first 100 adult customers to order will be awarded a year’s supply of the restaurant’s food.
Because of the offer, those passing the new location at 7201 W. Cermak Road may well see a line at the door before the restaurant even opens. According to Chick-fil-A, customers are not allowed to line up more than 24 hours in advance of the opening. If there are more than 100 people in line, the year’s worth of free food will be determined by a drawing, according to a new release.
The North Riverside Chick-fil-A will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Breakfast is served until 10:30 a.m. and features items like bagel sandwiches and breakfast burritos.
Chick-fil-A was started by Truett Cathy in Atlanta’s Greenbriar Mall in 1967. According to the company’s marketing materials, Chick-fil-A is generally credited with inventing the boneless chicken sandwich. There are currently 1,800 locations in 39 states and Washington D.C.
