West Chicago students raise more than $3,090 as part of Jump Rope for Heart

WEST CHICAGO – Under the leadership of physical education teacher Denise Kazar (back, far right), Currier Elementary School students raised a record-breaking $3,090.47 for the American Heart Association through the school's fifth annual Jump Rope for Heart event during the week of Feb. 3.

As part of the event, students learned jump rope skills and tips for taking care of their own hearts, as well as fundraised to help children with heart health issues.
