Face Time with Laurel Fisher

Naperville resident Laurel Fisher, 63, was working at the LivingWell Cancer Resource Center in Geneva when she answered nine questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.

Where did you grow up? Brooklyn, N.Y.

Who would play you in the movie of your life? Halle Berry or Meryl Streep

First job? Camp counselor at a day camp in Greenwich Village

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A dancer. I became an information technology manager, and now a clinician.

A book you'd recommend? "The Shack" by William P. Young

Favorite charity? American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and ChildFund International, formerly Christian Children's Fund.

What game show would you be on? "Video Village"

Favorite local restaurant? Tom and Eddie's and Gratto Italian Tapas

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? At 50, I went back to school and got my master's degree in counseling. I am a grief counselor here at LivingWell.
