A Johnsburg man was among 11 arrested during a National Day of Johns operation by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
On Jan. 31, the sheriff’s office conducted an undercover sex trafficking operation at the Holiday Inn Express at 611 Lakehurst Road in Waukegan, according to a news release. Eleven men were arrested for solicitation of a sexual act, and one man was arrested for unlawful use of a weapon when a handgun was found inside his vehicle.
Bryan Macey, 41, of the 5900 block of Meadowlark Lane in Johnsburg, was charged with solicitation of a sexual act. He was released from custody after posting 10 percent of his $1,000 bond.
He is scheduled to appear in court Monday.
“The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is focusing on these violations as priority community issues – prostitution and pornography are the two prevalent attitudes and behaviors that contribute to human trafficking and abuse of females,” Undersheriff Raymond J. Rose said in the news release. “This proliferation of behaviors that affect community safety and welfare will always be a concern and priority of efforts by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.”
The other 10 men arrested include Nazar Singh, 49, of Waukegan; Oscar A. Perez, 35, of Round Lake Beach; Juan I. Perez, 32, of Park City; Tony K. Labicki, 42 of Trevor, Wis.; Aaron A. Donald, 31, of Park City; Juan C. Ramirez, 38, of Waukegan; Michael Campbell, 30, of Great Lakes; Terrance R. Estell, 42, of Waukegan; Eric S. Shirey, 42, of Hainesville; and Joseph A. Inendino, 31, of Libertyville. Inendino also was charged with unlawful use of a weapon.
A total of 26 law enforcement agencies participated in the operation nationwide.
