Forever Yogurt set to open new location in La Grange in February

LA GRANGE – Just behind the colorful window display that masks the inside of Forever Yogurt, 71 S. La Grange Road, lies an equally colorful interior.

The wallpaper inside La Grange’s newest business catering to frozen yogurt fans leaves no question as to what town your in. The colorful walls show a mural of downtown La Grange, including icons such as the La Grange Theatre, Village Hall and the La Grange Road train station. Pink sparkled tiles direct those in the mood for a frozen treat to a series of 10 self-serve yogurt machines, providing 30 unique flavors, 20 flavor combinations and 10 swirled flavors, according to the shop’s owners, Sam and Samar Sheth.

The two cousins are already the owners of a Forever Yogurt location in Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood. When they decided to try
opening a suburban location, the pair thought La Grange would be the perfect fit.

“La Grange is a great town with a family oriented community and a younger crowd,” Sam Sheth said on a recent day at the shop.

Crews inside were still working to complete the location for it’s official opening Feb. 8.

Once open, the owners believe La Grange-area residents will flock to the shop, which will offer the greatest variety of flavors in the area, they said.

“We have many choices [for customers,” Samar said of the La Grange location. “Forever Yogurt is a local company too, it’s based in Chicago, so we offer something for people who want it to be local, too.”

Forever Yogurt will also offer about 50 topping to choose from to add to your froyo.

The two said they designed their new Forever Yogurt location to be a family destination. The location includes a back area where customers can hold meetings or children’s birthday parties. Along one back wall, picture frames create a collage against a chalk wall, where kids will be able to create their own masterpieces while they enjoy their cold treats.

While La Grange already has a number of places to purchase frozen yogurt, the pair believe they will be able to set themselves apart with their customer service and support of the community. They envision hiring local high school students and working with other La Grange businesses on cross promotions.

When Forever Yogurt celebrates its grand opening in March, customers will get a special offering to those who line up early. The first 50 customers will get a gift card for free yogurt for a year.
