CRYSTAL LAKE – Eight Crystal Lake businesses face potential penalties for serving alcohol to minors after a weeklong police crackdown found multiple violations.
From Oct. 3 through Wednesday, Crystal Lake Police conducted alcohol sale compliance checks at 35 licensed establishments by having four undercover officers and four minors try to make purchases.
According to a Crystal Lake Police Department news release, eight businesses including Walmart Supercenter; Oak Street Food & Liquors; Kmart; Duke's Alehouse & Kitchen; Da Buffone Cucina Italiana; Village Squire; Fire Bar & Grill; and Moby Dick's committed violations.
