ST. CHARLES – On Saturday, Oct. 19, and Sunday, Oct. 20, Christ Community Church will present "Nowhere But Up," an exclusive interview with author Pattie Mallette, the mother of pop star Justin Bieber.
The event takes place at 5 p.m. Oct. 19 and at 9 and 11 a.m. Oct. 20 at the church, which is at 37W100 Bolcum Road, St. Charles.
According to a news release from the church, Mallette will share her "story of a sexually abused girl who felt abandoned and unloved. Of a depressed teenager who made poor choices, sunk into drug and alcohol use, and drowned in toxic relationships. Of a young woman who attempted suicide and could hardly bear to believe that God would care for her. ... But it is also a story of healing and hope."
