BOLINGBROOK – A Bolingbrook police negotiator talked a suicidal subject into surrendering to authorities at the Ramada Inn Tuesday, according to the Bolingbrook Police Department.
About 1 p.m. Tuesday, Bolingbrook Police and SWAT units responded the Ramada Inn, 520 S. Bolingbrook Drive, for the report of a suicidal subject in one of the rooms, police said.
Shortly after, the negotiator was then able to go in the room and convince the subject to surrender without incident, according to Bolingbrook Police Lt. Mike Rompa. The subject was then transported for evaluation.
Upon apprehension, the subject was unarmed and alone, Rompa said. The incident lasted about one hour.
