LOMBARD – Two California women have been arrested and charged with prostitution-related offenses following a continued investigation by the Lombard Police Department at Elite Massage, 1263 S. Main St.
Soon Rye Kim, 52, of 24216 Cahuilla Road, Apple Valley, was cited with practicing an improper massage and OK Ran Gil, 58, of 8546 East Village Lane, Rosemead, was charged with prostitution. Both were arrested at 5:09 p.m. June 4 at Elite Massage.
Lombard Deputy Police Chief Pat Rollins said these arrests were part of a continued investigation of the business that was initiated after the department received a civilian tip.
Kim previously had been arrested and cited with improper massage for allegedly failing to keep body parts covered on April 17. At the same time, another woman, Chang U. Williams, 62, of Flushing, NY, was charged with prostitution and practicing massage therapy without a license.
The business is still open at this time, but Rollins said a village administrative hearing on whether to shut down the business is pending.
The owner of Elite Massage, Yoo Bok Lee, 64, of Chicago, was charged with aid in practice of massage therapy without a license on April 26. Lombard Police Lt. Cyndy Abenante said these charges were for Lee allegedly allowing prostitution to happen at his business.
