Lowell Albee Jr.

PRINCETON — Lowell Charles Albee Jr., 82, of Princeton passed away on Friday, March 15, 2013, at Manor Court of Princeton.

Lowell was born on Aug. 22, 1930, in Boston, Mass., to Lowell Charles Sr. and Elsie M. (Hanson) Albee. He married Inga-Lill Grauers on June 20, 1953, in Boston, Mass.
 
He was a retired Lutheran minister, having shepherd at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Princeton, from 1983 until 1996 and various churches throughout Illinois, East Coast and Switzerland. He had been director at the Krauss Library at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago from 1967 until 1980.

He is survived by his wife, Inga-Lill Albee of Princeton; his daughter, Marianne (Dale) Brevik of Marengo; his son, Peter Albee of Japan; three grandchildren, Daniel and Elise Brevik and Leo Albee; and his sister, Karyl (Edwin) Brabants of California.

Lowell was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. March 30 at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Princeton. Interment will be private and at a later date.
