Clinton Rosette Middle School in DeKalb held its first spelling bee on Jan. 31. Eighth grader Katrina Baum, right, was the school champion and will advance to the DeKalb County Spelling Bee. Seventh grader Samantha Anderson, left, placed second and will serve as the alternate for the county bee.
