BRACEVILLE, Ill. — Ms. Debra A. "Debbie" Stinnette Jerantowski, 55, of Braceville, Ill., and formerly of Morris, Ill., passed away Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, in Christ Advocate Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Ill.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at U. C. Davis & Sons Funeral Home Ltd., 301 W. Washington St., Morris. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, in Ambassadors for Christ Church, 702 E. North St., Morris, with the Rev. Elmer L. Powell and Debbie's father, the Rev. William C. Stinnette, officiating. Interment will follow in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery.
Born June 20, 1957, in Tampa, Fla., the daughter of the Rev. William C. and Beverly A. Wilkerson Stinnette, she graduated from Morris Community High School with the Class of 1975 and attended the Joliet School of Beauty Culture.
Debbie and her sister, Kathy Watland, recently opened and were operating the Serenity Salon/Spa/Boutique in the 400 block of Liberty Street in downtown Morris.
She enjoyed reading, writing novels, and spending time with her many friends and family. She was a member of the Ambassadors for Christ Church and was very active in her church community, working with the children.
Surviving are her loving sons, Peter (fiancé Kelly Johnston) Kohrt of Joliet, Ill., and Makenna Jerantowski of Braceville, Ill.; her parents, the Rev. William C. and Beverly A. Stinnette of Morris; five sisters, Kathy (and her husband, Gary) Watland and Susan Stinnette of Morris, Sharon Stinnette of Berry, Ill.; Beth (and her husband, Gary) Connor of Morris, and Lisa (David Jesiolowski ) Turner of Joliet; one Brother, Jason Stinnette of Granbury, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jessica Taylor Kohrt, on Feb. 13, 1999, and one brother, David C. Stinnette, on Oct. 30, 1999.
Preferred form of remembrance would be memorial gifts in Debbie's memory directed to the Ambassadors for Christ Church.
