LASALLE – Greg Abbott, president of LaSalle State Bank, is pleased to announce that Jeff Ellis has joined its management team in the position of senior vice president and senior loan officer. In his new position, Ellis will oversee the bank’s loan department, as well as serve as the primary point of contact for all of the bank’s commercial lending relationships.
Ellis is a longtime resident of the Illinois Valley and Princeton areas and brings with him 12 years of commercial loan and banking experience to LaSalle State Bank. He spent the majority of the past eight years as vice president of commercial banking at a local financial institution, assisting Illinois Valley area business owners with their banking needs. He holds a bachelor of finance degree from Miami University and earned his MBA from the University of Iowa.
“We are excited to welcome Jeff as the newest member of our lending team. I am confident that his professionalism, community involvement, and leadership abilities will make him a real asset to LaSalle State Bank and to our loan customers,” Abbott said.
Ellis has been an active participant and held various leadership positions in many professional and civic organizations, including United Way of Illinois Valley, Horizon House, LaSalle-Peru Kiwanis Club, Princeton Rotary and St. Louis Catholic School. He and his wife, Kathleen, reside in Princeton along with their four children.
