Lombard firefighters visit Butterfield School early childhood classrooms

Lombard, IL —

Earlier this month, Lt. Tony Sally and firefighter/paramedic Jeff Abruzino visited the early childhood classrooms at Butterfield School where they met with the students to talk about fire safety and what to do during emergencies.

The firefighters taught the young students about calling 911 during emergencies and talked to them about the importance of memorizing their addresses.

Sally and Abruzino showed the students everything that firefighters carry with them during emergencies and shared some trick-or-treat safety tips.

Members of the Lombard Fire Department will be visiting Butterfield’s early childhood classrooms four times this year to teach children about fire prevention.
