Batavia resident Kristen Sechrest, 34, was at Bethany Lutheran Church in Batavia when she answered 11 questions for the Kane County Chronicle’s Brenda Schory.

Where did you grow up? Geneva. I graduated from Geneva High School, class of 1996.

Pets? A calico cat named Hershey.

Who would play you in the movie of your life? Natalie Portman.

First job? At Giesche Shoes in Geneva.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A nurse, and I am a registered nurse.

A book you'd recommend? "Gone With The Wind" by Margaret Mitchell, and the movie.

Guilty pleasure? Vacationing and boating on Lake Geneva with my family.

Favorite charity? The Smile Train, because my niece was born with a cleft palate.

Hobbies? Boating and gardening.

Favorite local restaurant? Francesca's by the River in St. Charles.

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I played Division I soccer in college at Creighton University, full ride.
