WOODSTOCK – The fourth teen involved in the February 2011 robbery of a McHenry Burger King pleaded guilty Monday.
Marco A. Delgadillo, 19, pleaded guilty to one count each of theft more than $500 and aggravated battery; both are Class 3 felonies.
As part of the negotiated plea accepted by McHenry County Judge Joseph Condon, Delgadillo was sentenced to 60 days in jail. He received credit for two days served and was ordered to begin serving the remainder July 17.
Delgadillo also was sentenced to two years of probation, to pay a $1,500 fine plus court costs, to complete a substance abuse evaluation, and to follow all recommendations and complete random drug tests.
Last month, Matthew S. Avonts, 19, pleaded guilty Monday to theft over $500, a Class 3 felony, as part of a plea deal accepted by McHenry County Judge Sharon Prather. He was sentenced to 140 days in jail.
In March, Kyle D. Melton, 19, pleaded guilty to theft of less than $500, a misdemeanor. He was sentenced to 180 days in jail and two years of probation.
In April, Patrick J. Casagrande, 18, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of theft under $300 and was sentenced to 120 days in jail and two years of probation.
Police have said that while Casagrande stayed in the car, Avonts, Delgadillo and Melton approached two Burger King employees who were taking out trash at the back of the restaurant at 2180 N. Richmond Road after it was closed.
The trio overpowered the two employees. Delgadillo punched one of the workers and stayed outside, police said. Avonts and Melton, wearing black clothing with hoods and bandannas over their faces, went inside with a fake gun and demanded money, authorities said.
