• Primary products or services:

We are a fast-food, casual restaurant that sells deep-fried, breaded shrimp (and) various types of fish and chicken. We also seel vintage finds such as painted or distressed furniture, windows and such.

• What would you like to tell our readers about your business?:

Opening of the new restaurant was Dec. 5, 2011. We just opened for the Christmas parade. We’ll have a ribbon cutting Dec. 19 at 4 p.m.

We will continue to work on our menu and service. We appreciate input from all of our customers — good or bad. Listening and doing something about it helps us grow into a better restaurant/store. We want the customer to enjoy their experience with dining, wines and shopping all under one roof. We wanted to add shrimp to the area because we realized there is a long drive if you want good shrimp. Our daughters (Amber, 10, and Ariana, 6) also helped us.

• Is there anything unique about the business?:

We sell Illinois wines. We also have bottled (in glass) pop for sale as well as aluminum Coke products. In the future, we will add soup, more of a variety of glass-bottled soda and desserts. Currently we sell Eli’s Cheesecake.

We have four great sauces for all of our food — honey mustard, cocktail, tartar and Shrimp Barn (tangy barbecue).
