DIXON – Robert T. Kremnitzer, 71, of Dixon, died Monday, Dec. 12, 2011, at KSB Hospital in Dixon. He was an operating engineer for Union Local 150.
Robert was born April 22, 1940, in Chicago, the son of Rudolph and Mabel (Daniels) Kremnitzer. He married June “Sharon” Cowles on Aug. 3, 1968, in Burbank. Robert was a member of Harvest Time Bible Church in Rock Falls.
Survivors include his wife, June “Sharon” Kremnitzer of Dixon; four sons, William (Dee) Kremnitzer of Hampshire, Gene Pahnke of Willis, Texas, Michael (Molly) Kremnitzer of Worthington, Ohio, and Robert (Jan) Kremnitzer Jr. of Muskegon, Mich.; one daughter, Sharene Bruckner of Dixon; two brothers, Rudy (Elaine) Kremnitzer of Tucson, Ariz., and Russell (Connie) Kremnitzer of Braidwood; two sisters, Beverly (Bob) Potee of Lakeland, Fla., and Dee Dee Kentz of Tucson; 12 grandchildren, Gene “Tiger,” Bobbie, Austin, Billy, Joshua, Chris, Diana, Kymmie, Jenelle, Kelly, Kristie and Anna; and one great-grandson, Brayden.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one grandson, Kyle.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m., with the family present from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, at Harvest Time Bible Church, with the Rev. Dalmus Meeks, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.
