Anne Marie Barnard and Eric Rasmusson of Morris were married Saturday, June 4, 2011, at First Christian Church in Morris.
Parents of the bride are Rick and Margaret Barnard of Morris, and parents of the groom are Curt and Esther Rasmusson of Morris.
Cara Hazeltine, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Doris Barnard, sister-in-law of the bride, Graciela Castellanos, Kari Ropers, Sally Sass and Cindy Turay, friends of the bride, and Dawn Costa, cousin of the bride.
Emily Burnett and Kathy Castellanos, friends of the bride, were the flower girls.
Sid Nelson, friend of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Brent Barnard, brother of the bride, and Ethan Hagan, Bradley Mathre, Ken Spelde, Brian Stone and Jim Reed, friends of the groom.
Tony Castellanos, friend of the bride, was the ring bearer. Ushers were Jim Farber, brother-in-law of the groom, and Shawn Stille, cousin of the bride.
A reception took place at First Christian Church in Morris.
Following the wedding, the couple took a wedding trip to Galena, Ill.
Anne is employed as an English second language/bilingual teacher in Minooka. Eric is a grain farmer in Morris and serves on the Grundy County Board, the Saratoga Township Board and the Christian Youth Center Board.
Anne and Eric now serve together at the CYC where they first met and look forward to many God-adventures together in the future. The happy couple would like to thank all of their friends and family for their loving support and generosity.
Most of all, they thank the Lord Jesus Christ for His faithfulness and for the great gift that they’ve found in Him and in each other. “The Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes!” Psalm 118:23.
