Police seek witnesses to July 8 motorcycle crash

NORTH AURORA – Police are seeking witnesses to a serious motorcycle accident at 11:45 p.m. July 8 at Route 31 and I-88 which left the driver in critical condition.

A Harley-Davidson motorcycle, ridden by Daniel D. Donaldson, 31, of Bolingbrook, was traveling south on Route 31 when it struck the passenger side of a blue 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche, being driven by Terry Butler of Justice. The Chevy was traveling north on Route 31 and turning left onto the I-88 ramp.

Donaldson remains in critical condition at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, police said.

North Aurora accident investigators learned that several people stopped to check on Donaldson before emergency personnel arrived and believe that some of them may have witnessed the crash. Investigators need to speak to anyone who saw what happened or has information about it.
