If you have an interest in Oakwood Cemetery, I urge you to join me and other “friends of Oakwood” in helping to maintain the cemetery grounds through our volunteer help.
Because of budgetary restrictions over the past several years, the cemetery has not had the manpower it needs to maintain the grounds as well as we would like.
On Saturday, volunteers will meet at the Dement entrance to Oakwood at 9 a.m. We plan to work until noon, but whatever time you can give will be appreciated. Our initial task will be to pick up tree limbs and other debris that hinders mowing.
Bring your gloves – and a friend. Rain date is April 16.
