Franklin, Swindell share vows in N.C.

Couple wed Oct. 2 at The Farm in the Smokey Mountains

Tristan Amber Franklin and Brandon Jade Swindell, both of Naperville, Ill., were united in marriage Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, at The Farm in Chandler, North Carolina, located in the Great Smokey Mountains.

The bride is the daughter of Phil and Chris Franklin of Morris. The groom is the son of Danny and Judy Swindell of New Bern, N.C.

Krisitn Erickson, of Morris, and friend of the bride, was the maid of honor. Mari Franklin, of Coal City, and sister-in-law of the bride, was the matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Jenna Swindell, of Columbia, S.C., sister of groom; Danielle Swindell, of Charlotte, N.C., sister of groom; Rachel Franklin, of Las Vegas, Nev., cousin of bride; and  Rebekah Franklin, of Anchorage, Alaska, cousin of bride.

Maisy Franklin, niece of bride, and Danika Hurst, cousin of groom, were the flower girls.

Tony Hubbard,  of New York, friend of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Josh Franklin, of Coal City, brother of bride; Graham Wilkins, of Washington, D.C., friend of the groom; Ryan Williams, of Morehead City, N.C.,  friend of the groom;  Matt Henson,  of Washington, D.C,  friend of the groom; and Will Robinson, of Charlotte, N.C., friend of the groom.

Owen Franklin, nephew of the bride, was the ring bearer.

A reception was held at The Farm in Chandler, N.C. The couple took their wedding trip to Madrid and Barcelona, Spain.

Tristan graduated from Morris Community High School in 2001. She then graduated in 2009 from the University of Phoenix. She is employed at CSM for Little Friends of Naperville.

Brandon graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is employed at J.P. Morgan Chase of Naperville.

The couple resides in Naperville.
