Dennis Brechon

DIXON – Dennis J. Brechon, 52, of Dixon, died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011, at his home.

He was born June 21, 1958, in Dixon, the son of Robert E. and Esther (Widolff) Brechon. He worked as the maintenance manager for John Thomas Inc., Dixon. He married Julie Leffelman on June 25, 2010, in Las Vegas.

He was preceded in death by his father on Dec. 11, 1967.

He is survived by his wife; three children, Clinton (Amy) Knox and Justin (Ashley) Knox, both of Rockford, and Rachel Leffelman of Pecatonica; his mother of Dixon; three granddaughters, Anna, Maria, and Alayna; two brothers, Jerry Brechon and Greg Brechon, both of Dixon; and three sisters, Joyce (Mike) O’Brien of Amboy, Mary Lou Brechon of Henderson, Nev., and Janet (Jan) Blackburn of Dixon.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Anne Catholic Church, Dixon, with the Rev. Michael Morrissey, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m., with the rosary recited at 7:30 p.m., Friday, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. Arrangements were completed by Jones Funeral Home, Dixon.

A memorial has been established.
