DIXON – Connie Lee Schwamberger, 51, of Dixon, died Monday, Dec. 13, 2010, at Myrah Keating Smith Medical Center, St. John, Virgin Islands. She worked as a marketing supervisor for Raynor Manufacturing, Dixon.

Connie was born Aug. 25, 1959, in Dixon, the daughter of Leonard and Jean (Smith) Wiltfang. She married Thomas Schwamberger on May 6, 2006, in Dixon. Connie was an extremely devoted wife and mother who loved to cook and travel with her husband and friends.

Survivors include her husband; one son, Jacob Stitzel; and her mother, Jean Wiltfang, all of Dixon; one sister, Liz Rosenow of Rock Falls; her father and mother-in-law, George (Barb) Schwamberger of Dixon; two brothers-in-law, Mark (Kelly) Schwamberger of Towanda and George (Amy) Schwamberger of Amboy; one sister-in-law, Cathy Schwamberger ((Diana Kienle) of Folsom, Calif.; four nephews, Brett, Jairon, Justin, and Kelton; and one niece, Brenna.

She was preceded in death by her father; and one brother-in-law, Al Rosenow.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Dixon, with the Rev. Frank Langholf, pastor, and Rev. Vicki Sauter, pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Amboy, co-officiating. Burial will be at Woodside Cemetery, Lee Center. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m., with the family present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home, Dixon.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Connie Lee Schwamberger Memorial Fund.
