ROCK FALLS – Daryl Lee Dugger, 49, of Rock Falls, passed away Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010, at his home surrounded by loved ones, after a courageous and long battle with cancer.

Daryl was born Nov. 1, 1960, in Chicago, the son of William and Hazel “Bea” (Shortt) Dugger. He married Sunday Arduini on June 30, 1979, and from that they had four children, Daryl Alan Dugger (deceased), Joett (Brad) Dewey of Biloxi, Miss., Dalan Dugger of Rock Falls and Mallory Dugger of Rock Falls; and three beautiful granddaughters, Cadence, Alyssa and Brynlee Dewey. Also surviving are three brothers, Michael (Wendy) Dugger, Randy (Ann) Dugger, and Tommy (Candy) Dugger all of Rock Falls; one sister, Linda Freas of Rock Falls; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son.

Daryl was employed as a machine operator for 26 years at National Manufacturing Co., retiring in 2008. He was the Chicago Cubs No. 1 fan whether they won or lost.

His love of sports saw him through coaching several T-ball, Little League and high school baseball and basketball teams.

His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Harvest Time Bible Church, Rock Falls, with the Rev. Dalmus Meeks officiating. Burial will be at Coloma Township Cemetery, Rock Falls. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the McDonald Funeral Home, 1002 12th Ave., Rock Falls.
