Chicago Art Institute employee visits Campbell Center

MOUNT CARROLL – John Molini, chief of Chicago Art Institute’s packing and shipping department, recently conducted a packing and shipping workshop at the Campbell Center for Historic Preservation Studies.

Molini’s workshop has been offered annually at The Campbell Center for more than 10 years.

Molini is known in museums worldwide for the custom crates and art-packing techniques he employs.

He trains museum professionals to handle works of art. The class includes topics such as risk assessment, decision-making, and related issues in artifact handling, as well as learning opportunities in crate design and construction.
