CLINTON, Iowa – Michelle Lynne Castro, 55, of Clinton, Iowa, died Sunday, July 18, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center North, Clinton, Iowa.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Pape Funeral Home, Clinton, Iowa. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery, Clinton, Iowa. 
Casket bearers will be David Dohrn, Steve Vulich, Eric Castro, Werner Neumann, Dave Dohrn, and Martin Rubio.

Michelle was born Dec. 24, 1954, in Chicago, the daughter of Joseph and Iva Jean (Hilton) Vulich Jr. She graduated in 1973 from Clinton High School. Michelle married Thomas Reckman. She later married Todd Castro on Sept. 25, 2002, in Clinton, Iowa.

She was a line operator at International Paper for more than 18 years, and currently was a purchase buyer at Guardian Industries.

Michelle was a member of Clinton Women’s Bowling Association. She loved spending time with granddaughter, Ayanna, collecting angels, being with her dogs, and following the Green Bay Packers.

Michelle is survived by her husband, Todd; one daughter, Amie Reckman of Clinton, Iowa; her granddaughter, Ayanna; her father, Joseph Vulich Jr. of Clinton, Iowa; three sisters, Vicki Vulich and Danielle Melidis, both of Clinton, Iowa, and Donita Dohrn of Maquoketa, Iowa; one brother, Steven Vulich of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother in 2002, and her grandparents.
