Hinckley-Big Rock grad dies in car accident

A graduate of Hinkley-Big Rock High School was killed early Friday morning in a single-vehicle accident in rural Kane County.

Sean Heiss, 21, of Big Rock, was driving south on Dauberman Road about 2:30 a.m. when for an unknown reason his vehicle left the roadway just after it passed Scott Road, according to a news release from the Kane County Sheriff's Department.

The 2004 Hyundai Sonata entered a field on the west side of Dauberman Road and rolled over, according to the news release. Heiss, the sole occupant, was thrown from the vehicle and later pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

It is unknown if speed or drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash, which remains under investigation by the Kane County Sheriff's Department, according to the news release.

An official at H-BR High School said Heiss attended the school but was not sure what year he graduated.
