Letter: Kudos to Joliet Fire Department

Typewritter, letter to the editor

To the Editor:

We wish to take this opportunity to give recognition where it is due. My wife and I were at Joliet West High School last week for our COVID-19 vaccination. It was administered by EMT Kevin McCool. He was gentle and very efficient, as were all the rest of the firemen (too many to name).

The crowd was handled quickly and things moved like a Swiss watch. They were very polite, especially to the elderly that were there. It was a fine demonstration of the skill and training these young men and their leaders have been taught.

We can be proud and thankful we have such an intelligent fire department. Our kudos to the chief and all of his officers for getting the vaccinations where they were needed, and to our neighbor for alerting us to where the vaccinations would be given.
