Authorities are searching for a man who attempted to rob a BMO Harris bank in New Lenox.
About 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a report of an attempted robbery at Route 30 and Cedar Road, New Lenox Deputy Chief Micah Nuesse said.
During the incident, no weapon was shown, no one was injured and no money was taken, Nuesse said.
The suspect fled before officers arrived, he said.

The FBI was notified of the incident, Nuesse said.
FBI officials described the suspect as a white male with a medium build.
He was wearing a green pullover jacket with the word Vikings across the chest and a hat with an unknown logo, FBI officials said. He also wore dark pants and a dark mask.
The suspect fled in a gray or silver Audi, FBI officials said.
