Man, woman cause disturbance at Harrah’s casino in Joliet

Woman pushed security guard, man caught with Adderall, Xanax, police said

A man and a woman were arrested at Harrah’s casino in Joliet after they refused to leave and the woman pushed a security guard, police said.

About 1:44 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to Harrah’s casino at 151 N. Joliet St. in response to a report of a disturbance, Joliet police said.

When the officers arrived, they determined both Cassidy Canavan, 20, of Monee and Mario Barrios-Reyes, 24, of Lockport were involved in a disturbance with security guards after they refused to leave the property, police said.

The two had been told to leave multiple times, police said.

Officers determined that Canavan had shoved a security guard during the disturbance, police said.

Canavan and Barrios-Reyes were arrested, police said, and officers searched Barrios-Reyes and recovered multiple Adderall and Xanax pills in a plastic bag from his right pocket.

Barrios-Reyes was unable to provide proof of prescription for the pills, police said.

“Barrios-Reyes was belligerent towards Officers while being booked at the Joliet Police Department,” police said.

Barrios-Reyes was taken to the Will County jail while Canavan was released on her own recognizance, police said.

Barrios-Reyes was charged with criminal trespassing and possession of a controlled substance.

Canavan was arrested on probable cause of battery and criminal trespassing. She’s scheduled to appear in court on April 2.
